BOISE, Idaho — Girl Scout Cookies, which is a seasonal sweet treat that Idahoans with a sweet tooth love biting into, is set to return on Friday, Feb. 23.
The Girl Scouts of Silver Sage said in a news release they will kick off the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Booth season for southern Idaho, eastern Oregon and parts of northern Nevada on Friday. Cookies can be purchased online or at a booth through March 17.
"Everyone enjoys Girl Scout Cookies, and it's so much more than a box of cookies," said Jason Burnette, CEO of Girl Scouts of Silver Sage. "Girl Scouts learn to manage money, learn people skills, business ethics, set their goals, and make decisions. With your support, we are helping these girls experience a lifetime of leadership."
The Boise Scouts of Silver Sage Council are based out of Boise, and they serve more than 3,300 girls through Idaho, Nevada, and Oregon, a news release said.
The organization said the boxes they sell help contribute to service projects, traveling and summer camps.
