All three people sentenced had distributed fentanyl or methamphetamine.

IDAHO, USA — Two women from Pocatello and one man from Idaho Falls were sentenced in early February for federal drug crimes. According to the United States Attorney's Office District of Idaho, the crimes involved methamphetamine, fentanyl and/or firearms.

Jeniffer Daniel Borchert, 30, of Pocatello was sentenced on Feb. 5 to five years for fentanyl distribution.

Amy Nacona Jagneaux, 48, also of Pocatello was sentenced on Feb. 6 to five years for methamphetamine distribution.

Joel Santos, 29, of Idaho Falls was also sentenced on Feb. 6 to five-and-a-half years for unlawful possession of a firearm, in connection with distribution of amounts of methamphetamine.

"These cases reflect the strong partnership between our office and our local law enforcement partners," said U.S. Attorney Hurwit. "This series of cases not only makes Eastern Idaho safer, but it also shows our commitment to bringing to justice anyone else tempted to sell poisonous drugs or illegally possess firearms in Idaho."
