The Boise Jazz Society is bringing Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra to the Morrison Center on Fat Tuesday for a celebration that is sure to send you off into lent with a bang! Delfeayo is number four of the six Marsalis brothers, all famous jazz musicians. Delfeayo joined Idaho Today’s Mellisa Paul to talk about the upcoming performance. “I am the fun Marsalis brother, “ Delfeayo claims. He went on to describe the upcoming performance as a ‘ten course meal’ and that attendees will leave ‘full.’ The show is a full celebration of New Orleans from the music down to the costumes. Marsalis said they will be dressed from head to toe in new festive outfits including masks and they encourage concert goers to dress-up as well. The show is on Tuesday February 13th at 7:00 pm.
