NAMPA, Idaho — The 30-year-old woman who was killed in a hit-and-run early Sunday morning on 2nd Street South was identified on Tuesday by the Ada County Coroner's Office.
Tarissa Piper of Nampa died from traumatic blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, according to Ada County Coroner Richard D. Riffle. The crash occurred at roughly 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21.
The Nampa Police Department in a news release Tuesday said Piper was in the roadway when she was hit by two vehicles. Police said both drivers have now been identified and are cooperating.
Police previously said the woman was hit and killed by a passing vehicle after a person called dispatch and reported the driver involved left the scene of the crash Sunday. Nampa Police on Tuesday said officers are no longer looking for vehicles involved, while the crash remains under investigation.

“This is a tragic situation, and my thoughts go out to Ms. Piper’s family," Nampa Police Chief Joe Huff said in a news release.
