People can also tune in to KTVB and watch from home as the 11th annual Idaho Potato Drop rings in the new year with the iconic spud celebration in downtown Boise.

BOISE, Idaho — If you are looking for an entertaining, family-friendly way to celebrate New Year's Eve Sunday night, look no further than the iconic Idaho Potato Drop in downtown Boise.

The event will ring in the new year for the 11th time in Gem State fashion at Cecil D. Andrus Park, with a descending spud over the Idaho State Capitol plaza.

The 11th annual Idaho Potato Drop kicks off at 6 p.m. Sunday with live music and the Idaho potato rise. There will also be live entertainment, food, vendors and more.

If you are unable to make it to downtown Boise for New Year's Eve, KTVB has you covered with live coverage starting at 11:30 p.m. Sunday with Mellisa Paul, Joey Jenkins and Jude Binkley.

Idahoans can watch the potato drop live on KTVB Channel 7, KTVB.COM, KTVB+ on Roku and Amazon Fire TV and the KTVB mobile app.

At the Idaho Potato Drop, athletes will test their skills at the Urban-Air Ski and Snowboard Exhibition with the Onslaught Crew, hosted by Tamarack Resort. With built-in features and state-of-the-art technology, this is the largest jump in Idaho!

Additionally, there will be activities throughout the park, including games and raffles with prizes from Spec-Taters. There will be an all-ages beer garden as well, with hot toddy's for those of age.

The event will also feature a VIP section, where pass holders can dance to music from Black-Eyed Peas resident DJ "RH Factor" and local artist "DeltaOne."
