22-year-old arrested in connection to stabbing in Boise grocery store bathroom

Police said a man is in the hospital with serious injuries after a reported stabbing Thursday at a grocery store on Myrtle Street in Boise.

BOISE, Idaho — A 22-year-old Boise man was arrested after another man was found stabbed in the bathroom of a grocery store Thursday, according to Boise Police.

Police said officers responded to the reported stabbing on the 100 block of E. Myrtle Street around 1:45 p.m. Thursday. Store employees and witnesses were aiding the injured man and restraining the suspect when officers arrived. 

The suspect, later identified as Abner Navarro Raudales, was booked into the Ada County Jail. Boise Police said its early investigation determined Raudales attempted to rob the man he is accused of stabbing in the store bathroom. 

The victim was taken to an area hospital by Ada County Paramedics with series injuries. Police do not believe Raudales and the victim knew each other. Raudales is facing charges of felony aggravated battery and felony robbery.

Boise Police believe someone may have witnessed the incident in the bathroom Thursday, but left before speaking with detectives. Anyone yet to speak with police is asked to call Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790.

The incident remains under investigation by the Boise Police Department.
