NAMPA, Idaho — Two new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have been installed at a local Starbucks, according to a press release on Oct. 26.

This project offers a place to charge up both your car and your body in a known, safe place to charge up.

The coffee shop, located in Nampa, off of Northside and Highway 84, new chargers are part of a partnership between Starbucks and Volvo Cars USA. The partnership plans on installing ChargePoint charging stations at up to 15 Starbucks stores along the Seattle to Denver route.

This project aims to improve EV infrastructure along highways.

The 1,350-mile route from Seattle to Denver will offer charging stations approximately every 100 miles. These stations will be along highways I-70, I-84, and I-90. The project's goal is to give more options for long-distance travelers and those in and around the Seattle area to move to EV vehicles.

Starbucks aims to cut its carbon footprint in half by 2030, while also inviting customers to join in the efforts.
