One person killed in head-on collision in Payette County

A 38-year-old man from Homedale was pronounced dead at the scene, Idaho State Police said.

BOISE, Idaho — One person was killed in a head-on collision involving a semi-truck Wednesday night in Payette County.

Idaho State Police (ISP) said a 38-year-old man was driving north on U.S. Highway 95 in a Chevrolet Silverado when he crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a Kenworth semi-truck driven by a 45-year-old from Grandview. 

The driver of the Silverado died at the scene, according to police.

Traffic was blocked for eight hours to allow officials to investigate and clear the scene.
