BOISE, Idaho — The grass fire and road closures implemented by Boise Police have been lifted.

Ada County Highway District said on their social media that power has been restored and all roads are open.

"Power has been restored and Idaho Power is finishing the needed repairs," they said. "Traffic is still congested, but much improved."

The power outage and grass fire caused delays and road closures on 13th and 14th streets south of River Street around 3:30 p.m. in downtown Boise.

Ada County Highway District said in a news release outage was due to down power lines.

They said intersections in the area have no power and should be treated as four-way stops. Commuters were also suggested to find an alternate route.
