Man reported missing in Nampa has been located

An alert went out overnight for Harvey Clampitt. Five hours later, police announced he has been found.

NAMPA, Idaho — A man reported as missing and endangered overnight has been located and is safe, Nampa Police said Monday morning.

Idaho State Police put out an endangered missing person alert at 2 a.m. for Harvey Clampitt, 93. The alert said he was last seen in the area of Northside Boulevard and 2nd Street South in Nampa. Just before 7 a.m., ISP canceled the alert and said Clampitt had been located and was "no longer considered missing."

Nampa Police said he was located safe, in his car, in Owyhee County. As a precaution, EMS will evaluate him and his family is being notified to get him back home.
