Eagle students celebrate Earth Day by releasing ladybugs

Kids got into the spirit of the event by dressing up like ladybugs and their favorite insects.

EAGLE, Idaho — Preschool and kindergarten students from the Montessori Academy in Eagle celebrated Earth Day by releasing hundreds of ladybugs throughout the schoolyard to help improve the health of local vegetation.

Before Monday's release, the students raised the ladybugs in their class and learned how these small insects benefit our gardens.
