CANYON COUNTY - A teen driver was taken to the hospital late Friday night after a crash just east of Middleton.

Idaho State Police say one driver was headed north on Lansing Lane in a 2000 Nissan Sentra, failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of Lansing and Idaho State Highway 44, and collided with a 2009 Dodge Ram.

The car and pickup both came to rest on the north shoulder of Highway 44.

Both drivers are described as “juveniles,” and their names have not been released.

The driver of the Sentra was taken by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Information about the patient's condition has not been released.

ISP troopers went to the scene at 10:24 p.m. Friday.

The intersection was blocked for about two hours while emergency crews responded.

The crash remains under investigation by ISP.
