COUNCIL -- A child died from his injuries after a horseback riding accident in Adams County.
According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, dispatchers received a 911 call about the accident at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday. An officer arrived at the scene to find the 11-year-old boy breathing but unconscious with a head injury.
The boy was airlifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, then transferred to St. Luke's in Boise.
The 11-year-old died from his injuries Thursday. His name and the nature of the accident have not yet been released.
