Boise X Games adds Harley Hooligan Racing event

BOISE -- A new event coming to this years 2018 X Games in Boise is sure to be a hit with local motorcycle enthusiasts.

The City of Boise on Tuesday announced the addition of a Harley Hooligan Racing event, which will take place on a flat track inside the CenturyLink Arena on June 15, 2018

The invite-only motorcycle races will feature than 60 riders of all ability levels from across the country, according to city officals.The races will allow amateur riders to compete in Flat Track, with many participants using low-cost, garage-built motorcycles to race.

"Hooligan racing encourages participation over competition and gives even novice racers the chance to experience the thrill of Flat Track racing," the city wrote in a press release.

Tickets for the Friday night Hooligan event are on sale now. Other X-Games events, including skateboarding and BMX, will remain free and open to the public at Rhodes Skate Park, although tickets will be available for bleacher seating at the skate park.

The Harley Hooligan races will be live-streamed around the world via Harley-Davidson’s Facebook page, H-D dealers, brand pages and industry partners, according to the city. For more information on the X Games, click here.
