Mobile home a total loss after Garden City fire

A Boise Fire Department spokesperson said the fire started after food on the stove was left unattended.

GARDEN CITY - Boise fire officials said a mobile home appears to be a total loss after a fire Tuesday afternoon in Garden City.

The fire was reported at around 3:16 p.m. at 4317 N. Ray St.

A Boise Fire Department spokesperson says one person was home at the time of the fire but left food unattended on the stove which caused the fire to ignite. Two cats didn't make it out and died, but a third cat was rescued.

The American Red Cross, the Boise Burnout Fund and TIP Treasure Valley are helping the residents.
