Injured hiker rescued after 30-foot fall

The hiker apparently hit her head and lost consciousness. Emergency crews and a helicopter helped rescue the woman. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

CARSON, Wash. -- A 30-year-old woman was rescued by the coast guard after she slipped and fell about 30 feet near the Carson Hot Springs Resort along Wind River in Carson, Washington.

The man the woman was hiking with called 911 around 10 a.m. Sunday.

The hiker apparently hit her head and lost consciousness. Emergency crews and a helicopter helped rescue the woman. She was taken to the hospital to recover.
