BANKS, Idaho - A Boise man died Wednesday morning when his car went off of Idaho 55 and into the Payette River.
The crash happened just after 10:30 a.m. about three miles south of Banks.
Idaho State Police say 25-year-old Alex Bunch was driving north on the highway in a Kia Spectra when he left the road, went down an embankment and into the river.
Bunch was wearing a seatbelt, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
