Police are concerned for the safety of three young siblings who they believe are in danger of neglect and abuse after disappearing with their mother.

Police said the children - two boys, ages 6 and 9, and an 8-year-old girl - were picked up, unplanned, from their caregiver last Wednesday by their mother. The mother, 26-year-old Courtney Thomas, doesn't have primary custody.

The family was last known to be living in a van, and the kids haven't been to school for a week.

The public is asked to be on the lookout for the children, their mother and her boyfriend, 26-year-old Cody Williams. The mother and boyfriend are known to travel between Caldwell, Nampa and Boise. The van is described as a 1999 maroon Chevrolet Astro Van with Idaho plate 1A6R469.

Police received a tip that the children might be endangered on Thursday and became more concerned upon investigation. Police said they found evidence indicating the adults are not equipped to take care of the children, and there are previous reports of abuse.
