BOISE -- A pair of teenagers who police say wielded knives and a baseball bat during two robberies Monday have been arrested on felony charges.

Caleb Ellis, 18, faces two counts of robbery and a juvenile probation violation. The second suspect, a 17-year-old boy whose name has not been released, is facing two counts of robbery and a misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Investigators say the suspects first targeted a person in a car in a parking lot near the 3200 block of State Street at 3:12 a.m.. One of the suspects, who was sitting inside the car with the victim, pulled out a knife, while the other teen stood next to the vehicle with a baseball bat, according to the victim.

Investigators say the pair took money and other personal items from the victim.

The pair struck again mid-morning, police say, this time pulling knives and threatening a victim as all three sat in a car near 34th and Gerrard streets. Ellis and the 17-year-old got away with the victim's money and cell phone, according to police.

The suspects and the second victim knew each other, police say. The 17-year-old was arrested Monday night and booked into the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center, while Ellis was arrested Tuesday.

Ellis remains in the Ada County Jail, and is due to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
