BPD: 17-year-old suspect sexually assaulted teen girl

BOISE -- A 17-year-old accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl Saturday will be charged in the attack as an adult, police say.

The assault happened the 3000 block of West Pasadena Drive, located in Boise's Sunrise Rim neighborhood.

Investigators say the boy attacked the teen girl, as well as two other people who tried to intervene. When officers arrived, the suspect hit one of them, police say.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges of forcible penetration with a foreign object, battery with intent to commit a serious felony and battery on an officer, as well as two misdemeanor charges of battery.

Although the boy will be charged as an adult, the Boise Police Department has declined to release his name.

Forcible penetration with a foreign object carries a possible life sentence.
